UEQ Puppy 3-in-1 Wireless Charger Review: Cute, But Read This First

I bought this puppy-shaped charger for my kid's room redo. I wanted something cute, with a little whimsy, so the nightstand didn't look like a bare charging block. After about a week of real use as a bedside dock, here's the honest read. Where something comes from research rather than my own testing, I'll say so.

The good. It genuinely charges all three Apple devices at once. iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods: my kid drops all three on it at bedtime and they're full by morning. It's a 20W charger and it charged everything pretty quickly. The thing I cared about most is that it doesn't get overly hot, even running overnight. For a plastic novelty shape, staying cool is a real win, because that's usually where these fall down. And the design is the whole point. It's a puppy, in black or white, and it makes the room look decorated instead of utilitarian. That's the reason to buy this over a plain slab, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.

The catch. Here's the one to check before you buy: your phone case has to support charging through the case. I have a MagSafe motion case and it charges right through it. But if your case doesn't allow wireless charging, you have to take the phone out of the case every single time, and without a MagSafe case the magnet doesn't hold the phone well either. That's the real con. The other thing: it does not fold flat. The legs fold in, but the head and tail are stationary, so it stays bulky. This is a stationary charger for one spot, not a travel piece. A few things I'm passing along from research rather than my own testing: the Watch pad is Apple Watch only (no Garmin, Samsung, or Fitbit), AirPods need a wireless-charging case, and if a night-light feature is included it's worth confirming you can fully turn it off in a bedroom. And fairly: one week is a first impression, not a longevity verdict. The usual long-term worry with budget 3-in-1 stands is the magnets weakening over time, and I simply can't confirm or rule that out yet.

The verdict. I would definitely buy this if you're looking for something cute and unique to add a little whimsy so your charging block doesn't look so utilitarian. It's a fun three-in-one that works really well to charge up your devices, as long as you're on a MagSafe-compatible case and it's living in one spot. It's a great pick for a kid's or teen's room, a styled desk, or a gift. Skip it if you travel, use a non-MagSafe or thick rugged case, need top-end Qi2 speed, or want to charge a non-Apple watch.
